"Reaching the world for Christ, from right here in our own hometown"
![]() The Seafarer's Ministry is another new area of ministry the Men's Ministry has implemented in 2010 and will carry through 2011. This ministry was implemented and coordinated with the Northwest Coast Baptist Association in 2010 and is in the process of expanding through the efforts of new volunteers. As with the "Battle Buddies" ministry, the Seafarer's Ministry in 2011 is going to be rewarding for everyone involved.. and will glorify our Lord. As a new ministry, the Seafarer's Ministry will be a developing and challenging new area requiring the training and dedication of new volunteers. It is expected that 10-15 new volunteers will be required in the months ahead..involving men..and in some cases women as well. We have new leaders for this ministry that have taken the challenge to implement this new ministry and train others in 2011. Purpose The Panama City Seafarer's Ministry was established to reach seamen visiting our ports with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. For the ships we server, Ministry volunteers are the only way seafarers from all over the world can leave their ship to shop and sightsee our fair city. We also provide their only access to telephone, email, and on-line communications with their families.
Our goal is that seafarers see the love of Jesus in us through our attitudes of friendly service, our personal testimony, and distribution of the Gospel through Bibles, Christian literature, and "Jesus" videos provided in their own languages. The Panama City Seafarer's Ministry is a faith-based ministry relying solely on volunteers and on the prayer support and financial contributions of our Christian brothers and sisters. Contributions help pay for fuel, vehicle repairs, Gospel literature, and gifts for visiting seafarers. If you wish to make a contribution make a check payable to the Northwest Coast Baptist Association (NWCBA). Contact us at.
