The Pointman Men's Ministry exists to empower, support, and train the men of First Baptist Church of Panama City and Bay County to become true, Biblical disciples of the LORD. We believe that we must work to change the hearts of men, not just their behavior. The Word of God tells us that within a man's heart lies the problem of sin. Men are born with a sinful nature. Men are born separated from God. The Bible says that only through the Messiah, our LORD Jesus Christ, can we be brought back to God and Heaven be made our destiny. To walk with the LORD in obedience also requires this change of heart. Before our nation, communities, churches, and families can be changed, the hearts of men must change. This means a transformation from a church-goer who looks and talks like a Christian to a DISCIPLE who walks as a Christian. This heart transformation will result in a positive change in men's relationships with Almighty God, their wives and families and each other. Men will no longer see God as an addition to their life. Rather, God will become the center of their life.Our Pointman Men's Ministry duties include: - Leading men to the saving grace of Jesus - Training men how to cope with everyday life - Preparing men to anticipate evil before it happens - Teaching men how to avoid lust, pornography, and other sinful thoughts - Ministering to men who have given up fighting against sin - Helping men to get out of sinful habits - Being a friend who has "been there and done that" Most importantly, it is our duty to be a mirror image of Jesus Christ and to lead by example.
